⭐️ SELECTED AS ONE OF DJ MAG'S TOP COMPILATIONS  ⭐️

To accompany ISSUE 02, we invited seven Vietnamese queer artists—from these two cities, alongside their diasporic counterparts from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and New York City—to interpret the Vietnamese phrase “Đi Đi Đi” through their own sonic language.

“Đi Đi Đi” is a staple of everyday Vietnamese speech, literally translating to “Go Go Go.” More than just a command, this phrase is a spark, a playful yet urgent push to move faster, go harder, and get it done. It encapsulates not only the pace of Vietnamese life which inspires much of its underground sound, but also the scene’s collective drive against compartmentalized freedom.

100% of revenue from this record's sales and streaming go directly to A Queer Museum, Vietnam’s first collective queer-feminist archiving space, supporting their work to document LGBTQIA+ history, host community-led events, and strengthen grassroots initiatives by sharing resources such as venue space, communications, and community support.

Features

DJ Mag (Compilation Review)

"The compilation leans toward futurism, deconstructing club music while reflecting the intensity of Vietnam’s urban centres. Harder strains of gabber, drum & bass, and industrial dominate, from the glitchy crescendo of ‘Đi (Go)’ to ‘Đi Trẩy Hội Thôi (Shall We Gather?)’, which reworks Vietnamese court music with polyrhythms and distortion. It’s an electrifying portrait of Vietnam’s underground, rooted in history, racing toward its own future."

Resident Advisor (Article)

"A new VA compilation curated by No One Magazine is highlighting a slate of rising queer producers from Vietnam and the Vietnamese diaspora. Due out on vinyl and digitally on October 22nd, ... ĐI ĐI ĐI's release coincides with the launch of No One's second print issue, which focuses on the queer nightlife scenes in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi."

DJ Mag (Article)

"Vietnam’s queer electronic music scene celebrated in new compilation by No One Magazine. Out this October, 'Đi Đi Đi', which translates to 'Go Go Go', raises money for A Queer Museum."
